UClean's own figures don't agree. Its franchise page claims ₹1.8 L+ average monthly store revenue, a 30–40% gross margin and a 12–18-month payback; its brochure claims ₹1.5–2 L profit a month, a 3-month operational break-even and a 20-month payback. A ₹1.5–2 L monthly profit is about equal to the average monthly revenue it states, so both cannot describe a typical store. The page also shows '$520K+ average annual revenue of top 50% stores', which is out of line with its own monthly figure.

  Franchisees took UClean to arbitration

  Two franchisees went to High Courts to get arbitrators appointed for claims under their UClean agreements: Aarg Enterprises (P&H HC, arbitrator appointed Jan 2023, UClean absent) and Shubham Dalmia (Delhi HC, Aug 2024). The disputes' subjects and outcomes are not public.

  A May 2026 profile of founder Arunabh Sinha says UClean has passed 800 outlets across nine countries, including the UAE, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Somalia and Mongolia, on a franchise-led model.

Other terms

Disputes go to arbitration seated in New Delhi before a sole arbitrator 'appointed by the Franchisor only' (clause 30.5 of a Mar 2022 franchise agreement, quoted by the Delhi High Court in Aug 2024). In that case the court appointed an independent arbitrator under the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, with UClean not objecting.

An earlier UClean franchise agreement (clause 22) provided for arbitration with jurisdiction at Gurgaon and a pre-deposit condition before a claim can be referred (Punjab & Haryana High Court, Jan 2023).

Supply & stock

UClean says it supplies operational items such as packaging, detergents and hangers through its own supply chain; whether franchisees must buy from it, and at what mark-up, is not published.

The 'UClean' device mark (application 3426138, filed 6 Dec 2016, classes 3 and 11 — detergents and laundry equipment) is registered, valid to 6 Dec 2026, in the name of another company in the franchise-consulting group that majority-owns the franchisor, not the franchisor itself. A request to record a new owner by assignment (form TM-P) was filed on 6 Apr 2025; the register mirror does not yet show who. A 'U-Clean' application (3426141) by the same owner is objected. No service-class mark in the franchisor's name was found.
