Our Estimates

FranchiseChuno estimate

Monsoon Salon doesn't publish these, so here is our best read of the market and how we got there. They are our estimates, not the brand's figures — use them to plan, then confirm the real numbers in writing.

  • Total investment, one salon

    ₹20–45 L*

Monsoon publishes no figure. Its own enquiry form offers budget bands starting at ₹15–30 L and ₹30–45 L. A unisex salon of about 1,000–1,500 sq ft typically needs ₹12–25 L of fit-out and equipment (chairs, wash stations, lighting, pedicure units), ₹2–5 L of opening product stock, a franchise fee and 2–3 months' rent deposit, which lands in this band. Flagship-sized salons cost more.

About the Brand

Brand USP

Three salon formats under one franchisor, from the full Monsoon Salon to the smaller PRO PLUS Smart Salon, backed by an in-house training academy.

Franchising Since2017
HeadquartersNew Delhi
Monsoon Salon is a Delhi-based chain of unisex hair and beauty salons offering cuts, colour, skin care, make-up, nails and bridal services. It runs three formats: Monsoon Salon, Monsoon Pro and the smaller PRO PLUS Smart Salon. The brand says it has 212+ locations in 95+ cities. Its own salon locator lists 122 entries at about 110 distinct addresses in 28 states and union territories as of Oct 2026, roughly a quarter of them in Uttar Pradesh. The franchisor is The Professional Hair Salon & Spa (India) Pvt Ltd, run by the Johari family. Monsoon publishes no investment, fee or royalty on its franchise page. It promises a 30-day turnkey roll-out, staff hiring and training through its Monsoon Academy, marketing and salon software. Our estimate is ₹20–45 L* for a salon, in line with the budget bands on its own enquiry form. In a 2023 court filing the franchisor said one 2019 franchise agreement carried a fixed royalty of ₹50,000 a month. Its 2017 franchise FAQ estimated a payback of 3–4 years. What to watch: the 212+ salons it claims is nearly double what its locator shows. Filings show the franchisor's revenue jumped to ₹31 Cr in FY25, but about two-thirds came from wholesale product sales, and net profit fell 89% to ₹24 L. The original company, Monsoon Salon & Spa Pvt Ltd, went from ₹11.9 Cr revenue in FY17 to almost nothing, and in 2018 Henkel Adhesives Technologies India took it to arbitration over a 2014 agreement and also sued it in the Bombay High Court; neither outcome is public. The franchisor is in arbitration with a former franchisee it terminated in 2021 over unpaid royalties; the franchisee disputes the claim. Contract length, territory and exit terms are not published, so ask for the full agreement and speak to current franchisees.

Why invest in Monsoon Salon?

- Its own locator lists about 110 salons across 28 states and union territories (Oct 2026). - Filings show the franchisor's revenue rose from ₹14.1 Cr in FY24 to ₹31 Cr in FY25, with a net profit every year since FY18. - The brand runs an in-house academy for hair, skin, nail and make-up training.
