Total investment, mall café
₹50 L–₹1 Cr*
PappaRoti publishes no figure. A mall café of about 800–1,000 sq ft with in-store baking needs fit-out (about ₹4,000–6,000 per sq ft in metro malls), deck ovens and espresso equipment (₹10–20 L), a franchise fee and mall deposits; that puts a café in the ₹50 L–₹1 Cr band typical of imported café brands in Indian malls. A kiosk would be lower. In Dec 2017 the then India operator told PTI that 10 outlets needed about ₹10 Cr, roughly ₹1 Cr each, which sits at the top of this band.

Royalty on sales
6–8% of sales*
PappaRoti publishes no royalty. Café and QSR franchises in India commonly charge about 5–8% of sales, and a master franchisee that also pays the global brand usually sits at the upper end.
