Ask before you sign

  1. Speak to at least 3 franchisees who have run an outlet for 2+ years and see their actual monthly sales and profit — a franchisor making money doesn't mean its franchisees do.
  2. Ask for every upfront payment in writing — deposit, onboarding, equipment or stock — and which parts are refundable.
  3. Ask exactly how your margin or commission is calculated, when it's paid, and whether the brand can change it.

About the Brand

Brand USP

A Bulandshahr solar-products maker with three dealer tiers from a ₹5 L minimum first order and one authorised dealer per city.

HeadquartersBulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh
Nexus Solar Energy Private Limited makes and sells solar panels, hybrid and off-grid inverters, lithium batteries and solar air conditioners from Chola Industrial Area, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. Its facts page says operations began in 2019 under founder Deepak Chaudhary, and that a network of more than 1,150 dealers supports it (Oct 2026). Its dealer locator is a pincode search, so we could not count outlets. It lists BIS licences for panels, hybrid inverters and lithium batteries, which we have not checked against the BIS register. Its facts page says BIS registration does not cover its solar air conditioners. Nexus publishes three partner tiers, each with a minimum first order, a token payment, an optional service-parts deposit and shop-branding costs. Exclusive Franchise: ₹5 L first order, ₹20,000 token. Exclusive City Partner: ₹10 L, ₹1 L token. Exclusive Diamond Distributor: ₹50 L, ₹1 L token. Branding costs ₹51,000 or ₹1.5 L + GST for a 100–200 sq ft shop and is refunded only as billing grows (half, as products, at ₹1 Cr; the rest at ₹2 Cr). It promises one authorised dealer per territory and a 'high margin' but publishes no margin percentage. Prices are set by Nexus, and the agreement can be ended if the minimum order is missed. What to watch: it is a stock-buying dealership, so the money at risk is the first order and later purchases, not just a fee. Registrar data show paid-up capital of ₹1 lakh, FY25 revenue of ₹17.9 Cr and net profit of ₹5.4 lakh, so the franchisor is thinly capitalised against ₹50 L distributor orders. Its token-payment wording contradicts itself (called non-refundable and non-adjustable, yet adjusted against the first invoice). We found no independent coverage, complaints or ratings. Its returns and 'over 1 million customers' claims are unverified.

Why invest in Nexus Solar Energy?

- Nexus publishes three dealer tiers with a minimum first order of ₹5 L, ₹10 L and ₹50 L, token payments and shop-branding costs (its franchise page and policy PDFs) - It says each partner is the only authorised dealer in the territory or city, and refunds branding costs through billing (half at ₹1 Cr, the rest at ₹2 Cr) - It lists BIS licences for solar panels, hybrid inverters and lithium batteries, valid to 2028, Dec 2026 and Dec 2026 (its own facts page; register not checked)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the total investment for a Nexus Solar Energy franchise?
Nexus Solar Energy states an investment of ₹5.51 lakh–₹51.5 lakh. Our sum of Nexus's published MINIMUM first order plus shop branding for its three tiers: Exclusive Franchise ₹5 L + ₹51,000 = ₹5.51 L; Exclusive City Partner ₹10 L + branding; Exclusive Diamond Distributor ₹50 L + ₹1.5 L (+ GST on that branding option) = ₹51.5 L. These are floors: Nexus does not say how much stock a partner needs beyond the first order. Token payments are adjusted against the first invoice; the optional service-parts deposit, rent, working capital and GST on the ₹1.5 L branding are extra.
