About the Brand

Brand USP

Gujarat-origin ice cream maker (since 1944) owned by Lotte, selling through Havfunn parlours and a large retail and distributor network.

Parent CompanyLotte Wellfood Co. Ltd. (South Korea)
HeadquartersAhmedabad, Gujarat
Havmor is an Ahmedabad-based ice cream brand that says it has been making ice cream since 1944. Lotte Confectionery of South Korea acquired it in December 2017 (CARE Ratings, Jan 2021), and its website now says it is part of Lotte India Corporation Private Limited, a subsidiary of Lotte Wellfood Co. Ltd. The About page claims 72,000 retail outlets and over 250 flagship stores across 21 states and 4 union territories. Its store locator lists 413 entries, 384 of them 'Havfunn' parlours. Havmor's franchise page is an enquiry form with no published terms: no investment, fee, royalty, area, agreement term or support is stated, and the form's investment choices are options, not prices. The only terms we found are from Outlook Business in November 2012: a parlour then cost Rs 7.5-10 lakh to set up, a Havfunn eatery Rs 35-40 lakh, franchisees bought ice cream from the company at cost, and eateries paid a 6% royalty on revenue (Outlook also said a parlour then took one to two years to break even and an eatery two to three). Those figures are 14 years old and the company has been under new ownership since. Havmor's own pages state no agreement type, so we do not say whether parlours are franchisee-owned and operated. What to weigh: the company's FY24 annual return shows turnover of Rs 1,036 crore and net worth of Rs 400 crore, but that is the whole company, not what a parlour earns. Ask which entity signs the agreement, since Havmor Ice Cream Private Limited was being merged into Lotte India in 2024 and the website now names Lotte India Corporation. Ask for current royalty, supply pricing and minimum purchase terms in writing. We found no court or regulator action against Havmor in the sources we read, but did not search court databases directly.

Why invest in Havmor?

Ltd. - Its store locator lists 413 entries as of 26 Oct 2026, 384 of them Havfunn parlours, against a brand claim of 250+ flagship stores. - CARE Ratings rated the company CARE A+ (Stable) in Jan 2021 and cited Lotte's parentage and a network of 521 distributors.
