⚠ Scam alert

Heritage warns of fake franchise portals and numbers

Heritage's caution notice says fraudsters are misusing its brand, and that only its own official channel handles enquiries for parlours, distribution centres and distributorships; it says no other website, portal or toll-free number is authorised to accept applications. Check any offer against Heritage's own site.

FY26 profit fell 20% on milk shortage and costs

Heritage's audited FY26 consolidated results show profit for the year down 20% to Rs 1,501 million (Rs 1,883 million in FY25), and its Q4 FY26 presentation shows EBITDA down 19.5% to Rs 2,663 million on revenue up 9.5%, which it ascribes to severe milk shortages, higher procurement costs and a weak flush season.

About the Brand

Brand USP

Listed Hyderabad dairy whose exclusive parlour page lists a Rs 10,000 refundable deposit and a 100 sq ft minimum, plus a freezer, cooler and shop renovation whose cost is not published.

HeadquartersHyderabad, Telangana
Heritage Foods Limited is a Hyderabad dairy company listed on NSE and BSE (CIN L15209TG1992PLC014332). It sells milk, curd, paneer, ice cream and other dairy products under the Heritage brand. Its Q4 FY26 investor presentation (12 May 2026) reports consolidated revenue of Rs 45,260 million for FY26 (up 9.5%), EBITDA down 19.5% to Rs 2,663 million and profit after tax down 20% to Rs 1,501 million, which it attributes to severe milk shortages and higher procurement costs. CRISIL rated its bank facilities AA-/Stable on 31 Mar 2026. Its parlour page describes an exclusive Heritage shop: a three-year agreement, a Rs 10,000 interest-free refundable deposit, a minimum 100 sq ft in a residential or semi-commercial location, a 300-400 litre deep freezer for ice cream and a chest cooler or glass-door refrigerator, shop renovation to Heritage's design, and cash-and-carry supply with no credit. It says there are over 859 parlours in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Chennai, and the home page mentions 850+ parlours run by franchisees and about 1,80,000 retail outlets selling its products. Heritage also has a Heritage Distribution Centre route, for which the page gives no terms. What to watch: the page gives no total investment, margin, royalty or application process, and its contact page lists no franchise desk, so we cannot confirm that new parlours are being appointed. Heritage's own caution notice warns that fake portals and numbers exist and says only its official channel handles parlour and distributor enquiries. Sales are seasonal (more buttermilk, lassi and ice cream in summer). Heritage has disclosed to the exchanges an FSSAI compounding fee over a Total Curd sample (Jan 2026) and a withheld GST refund (Apr 2025); both are recorded here as the company's disclosures.
