Lenskart FOFO stores: page invites applicants but gives no terms; 2,609 India stores (Mar 2026); FoFo stores fell 369 to 310 (Mar 2023-25).

About This Listing

Lenskart's franchise enquiry page invites applications ('Join Us As A Franchise Partner Today') and shows a short form, but publishes no investment, fee, area, royalty or timeline. Its annual report 2025-26 says the store mix kept shifting from franchise-owned (FoFo) to company-owned (CoCo) stores through FY26 and that it is increasing its focus on CoCo execution, so we cannot say whether new franchise stores are being taken on. Lenskart also publishes a caution notice saying that people are falsely claiming a link with Lenskart to offer franchises and shop leases and are taking money into their own bank accounts; it names one official franchise-payment account and one franchise support email and phone.

⚠ Scam alert

Lenskart warns about people falsely offering Lenskart franchises and shop leases

Lenskart's caution notice says some people create a false association with Lenskart to offer franchise contracts and retail outlets for lease and take money into their own bank accounts. It names its only bank account for franchise payments and a franchise support email and phone, and its franchise page carries a banner with the same warning. Counts against the fraudsters, not the brand.

The Ken (2 Apr 2025) spoke to 18 current and former franchise owners. It reported that only about 300 of Lenskart's 2,500+ stores were run by franchisees, against close to 30% in 2023 by The Ken's count (Lenskart's prospectus counts India FoFo stores at 18.81% of its stores in Mar 2023), and that franchisees allege company-run stores were opened next to theirs and that store finances were withheld. About the Brand

Brand USP

Lenskart reports 2,609 active stores in India at 31 Mar 2026 (3,327 worldwide) and has been shifting from franchise-owned to company-owned stores.

HeadquartersGurugram, Haryana (corporate office); registered office Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi
Lenskart Solutions Ltd (CIN L33100DL2008PLC178355) designs, makes and sells eyewear and has been listed on NSE and BSE since November 2025. Its annual report 2025-26 counts 3,327 active stores worldwide at 31 March 2026, 2,609 of them in India (2,067 a year earlier), and its Q1 FY27 shareholder letter counts 3,459 at 30 June 2026. FY26 consolidated revenue from operations was Rs 8,814 Cr and profit after tax Rs 501 Cr (group figures, including overseas businesses). Franchise stores (FoFo) are a shrinking part of that network; Lenskart bought its former master franchisee Dealskart, which ran 1,606 stores, on 31 December 2024. Lenskart's IPO prospectus counted 310 FoFo stores in India at 31 March 2025 (11.38% of all its retail stores, against 369 stores and 18.81% in March 2023) plus 8 company-owned franchise-operated stores. It says franchisees get a non-exclusive, revocable licence to use its trademarks, normally for five years, for a fixed one-time licence fee, and that it pays franchise partners commission and incentives on sales. Lenskart's franchise page claims '25-30% Margin' and 'Quick Breakeven' for partners, but gives no investment, fee, area or royalty figure and does not say what the margin is on. The page invites applications but publishes no terms, and the annual report says the franchise-to-company-owned mix shift continued through FY26, so we show the status as unknown. What to watch: the prospectus and annual report disclose several franchisee disputes, including a Mysuru FIR by a former franchisee alleging fabricated point-of-sale records (stayed by the Karnataka High Court on 22 Jan 2025), a Bengaluru FIR over stock-return dues, a West Bengal complaint alleging deception into franchise agreements, and a Delhi arbitration in which Lenskart paid a former franchisee Rs 66.85 lakh. Lenskart contests these. Franchisees told The Ken in April 2025 that the company opened its own stores near theirs. Franchisees also complained to SEBI in August 2025 (as reported by The Head and Tale), alleging Lenskart's draft prospectus understated their disputes; Lenskart's prospectus says it denied such third-party complaints as baseless. The Enforcement Directorate has a pending FEMA show-cause notice (2022) over late import-export filings. A customs order of Rs 13.17 Cr (Oct 2026) is one Lenskart says it will appeal.

Why invest in Lenskart?

- Lenskart's annual report 2025-26 counts 2,609 active India stores at 31 Mar 2026, up from 2,067, with India same-store sales growth of 20.8%. - Lenskart is listed on NSE and BSE; FY26 consolidated revenue was Rs 8,814 Cr and profit after tax Rs 501 Cr (group, not store earnings). - Its franchise page claims a 25-30% margin for partners (unverified), but franchise stores are falling as a share of its network.
