Goldiee doesn't publish these, so here is our best read of the market and how we got there. They are our estimates, not the brand's figures — use them to plan, then confirm the real numbers in writing.

  • Working capital for a Goldiee distributorship

    ₹5–20 L*

Goldiee's FY25 revenue of about ₹1,789 Cr spread over its 1,800+ distributors averages roughly ₹8 L of sales a month per distributor (less once exports and bulk HoReCa sales are taken out). Holding 3–4 weeks of stock (₹4–8 L) and giving retailers 1–2 weeks of credit (₹2–4 L) is the core need; a small godown deposit and a used delivery vehicle add ₹2–7 L if you don't already have them. Small rural territories sit near ₹5 L, busy town territories near ₹20 L.

    Unit-economics model · Sep 2026

  • Distributor margin

    5–8% of sales, plus schemes*

Indian FMCG and packaged-spice distributors usually earn a 4–8% trade margin on the company's price, with periodic volume schemes on top. Forbes India (2021) quoted Goldiee's directors on 'attractive margins' and lucky-draw prizes such as cars and bikes for dealers, which points to the upper half of that band, but Goldiee publishes no figure.

    Category benchmark · Sep 2026

  • Monthly profit for an average distributor

    ₹10,000–40,000*

₹5–8 L of monthly sales at a 5–8% margin gives ₹25,000–64,000 gross. A salesman, delivery fuel and godown rent typically cost ₹15,000–35,000 a month if Goldiee is your only brand. Distributors who spread those costs over several brands earn more per rupee of Goldiee sales.

High Court orders takedown of fake website using the GOLDIEE name

In June 2026 the Delhi High Court granted Shubham Goldiee Masale an urgent injunction against an unidentified operator. The operator had run an investment website misusing the GOLDIEE marks, and members of the public had paid money into the scheme. The court ordered the site blocked within 72 hours and directed the registrar and host to preserve KYC and payment records.

Government lab declared a Goldiee turmeric sample unsafe (lead chromate)

An Allahabad High Court judgment of 10 Feb 2025 records that sealed packets of Goldiee-brand turmeric powder, sampled by the Shahjahanpur food safety officer from a restaurant in Mar 2023, were found by the Government Food Laboratory, Lucknow (report of 15 May 2023) to contain lead chromate and were declared unsafe. The case was against the restaurant, not Goldiee: the court quashed it and said the trial court may proceed against the manufacturer or distributor of the turmeric. We found no public record of any action against Goldiee or its distributor, or of Goldiee's response.

About the Brand

Brand USP

Founded in 1980, with a wide everyday-foods range; Goldiee says it grinds select spices cryogenically and uses 'Fresh-Lock' sealing at its Kanpur plant.

Parent CompanyGoldiee Group (Shubham Goldiee Masale Pvt Ltd)
HeadquartersKanpur, Uttar Pradesh
Goldiee is a Kanpur-based spice and packaged-food brand founded in 1980 by Som Prakash Goenka and Surendra Kumar Gupta and run by Shubham Goldiee Masale Pvt Ltd. Besides ground and blended spices it sells hing, pickles, One One noodles, pasta, sauces, tea, papad, ready-to-cook mixes, pooja products and Double Engine detergent. Goldiee says it reaches 450,000+ retail outlets through 1,800+ distributors across 26 states and exports to 60+ countries. Filings show FY25 revenue of ₹1,789.49 Cr and net profit of ₹384.94 Cr, up from ₹1,468.47 Cr and ₹239.45 Cr in FY24. The opportunity is an FMCG distributorship, not a franchise: you stock Goldiee products and supply kiranas, supermarkets and other retailers in a territory. Goldiee asks for a valid business licence, adequate distribution infrastructure and a strong local network in FMCG or food; experience in spices or grocery is a plus. What to watch: Goldiee doesn't publish the investment, distributor margin, territory size or agreement terms. The ₹5–20 L shown is FranchiseChuno's estimate of the stock, credit and delivery set-up a distributor typically needs, not a Goldiee figure. An Allahabad High Court judgment (Feb 2025) records that a government lab declared a Goldiee-brand turmeric sample unsafe for lead chromate in 2023, and said the trial court could proceed against the manufacturer or distributor; we found no record of the outcome. An older food-adulteration complaint against the company (Bareilly, 2008) was stayed by the High Court in 2011, with no later public outcome. In June 2026 the Delhi High Court ordered the takedown of a fraudulent website that used the GOLDIEE name to collect money from the public; a 'Goldiee' investment scheme promising returns is not a distributorship. The company's revenue and profit say nothing about what a distributor earns; check real margins and volumes with existing Goldiee distributors.

Why invest in Goldiee?

- The franchisor is profitable: FY25 revenue of ₹1,789.49 Cr and net profit of ₹384.94 Cr, both up on FY24 (company filings); this says nothing about distributor earnings - Company-stated network of 1,800+ distributors and 450,000+ retail outlets across 26 states - A wide range beyond spices (noodles, sauces, pickles, tea, pooja products, detergent) for a distributor to carry

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the total investment for a Goldiee franchise?
An estimated ₹5 lakh–₹20 lakh. Estimate — Goldiee doesn't publish its investment. FranchiseChuno's estimate of the opening stock, retailer credit and delivery set-up a Goldiee distributor typically needs; it depends heavily on the territory and on whether you already run a godown and vehicle.
Does Goldiee offer franchises?
No. Goldiee's partner page describes only a distributorship (dealership): you buy and stock Goldiee products and supply retailers in your area. We found no Goldiee franchise-store programme.
What does Goldiee require from a distributor?
A valid business licence, adequate infrastructure for distribution and a strong local network in FMCG or food products. Goldiee says experience in spices or grocery is a bonus, not a requirement.
What margin does a Goldiee distributor earn?
Goldiee doesn't publish its distributor margin. In a 2021 Forbes India profile its directors credited dealer loyalty to 'attractive margins' and lucky-draw schemes with cars and bikes as prizes, without giving a figure.
Has Goldiee's name been used in scams?
Yes. In June 2026 the Delhi High Court ordered a website that misused the GOLDIEE trademark for an alleged online investment scheme to be blocked within 72 hours, after members of the public had paid money into it.
Have Goldiee products failed a food-safety test?
An Allahabad High Court judgment of Feb 2025 records that a government lab in Lucknow declared sealed Goldiee-brand turmeric powder, sampled in 2023, unsafe because it contained lead chromate. The case was against a restaurant, which the court let off, saying the trial court could proceed against the manufacturer or distributor. We found no public record of the outcome.
