Ask before you sign

  1. Speak to at least 3 franchisees who have run an outlet for 2+ years and see their actual monthly sales and profit — a franchisor making money doesn't mean its franchisees do.
  2. Ask for every upfront payment in writing — deposit, onboarding, equipment or stock — and which parts are refundable.
  3. Ask exactly how your margin or commission is calculated, when it's paid, and whether the brand can change it.

Court injunction against fake Delhivery franchise sellers (2026)

Delhivery told the Delhi High Court that a network was posing as the company, charging registration fees and 'refundable security deposits' for franchises that didn't exist. The court restrained them and ordered their bank accounts and domains frozen. Deal only with Delhivery itself.

Delhivery's own warning on fake franchise offers

About the Brand

Brand USP

Listed logistics network covering 18,800+ pin codes; partners can run either a branded courier booking counter or a last-mile delivery centre.

HeadquartersGurugram, Haryana (corporate office); registered office New Delhi
Delhivery is a listed logistics company (NSE/BSE, since May 2022) that moves e-commerce parcels, part-truckload freight and warehouse stock across India. Its FY2025-26 annual report says it reaches over 18,800 pin codes, delivered 1,054 million shipments in the year and runs 4,848 last-mile delivery centres, of which 760 are run by partners (31 Mar 2026). It bought rival Ecom Express in July 2025. Filings show it lost ₹249.2 Cr in FY24 before turning a profit in FY25. Delhivery offers two partner formats on its own site. A Courier & Sales Franchise is a company-branded booking counter of 80–200 sq ft on a main road: Delhivery says set-up costs ₹1.5–3 L, plus a 100% refundable security deposit of ₹3–10 L and a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of ₹50,000, so about ₹5–13.5 L before rent, of which ₹3–10 L is the refundable deposit and ₹2–3.5 L is money you don't get back; the partner earns a commission on shipping charges and add-ons, but the rate isn't published. A Local Delivery Franchise is a last-mile delivery centre of at least 200 sq ft with the partner's own riders: a refundable deposit (no interest) of ₹2–5 L or a bank guarantee, per-parcel pay every fortnight, and an agreement renewed every year that Delhivery can end if performance or compliance slips. What to watch: Delhivery doesn't publish the commission percentage, per-parcel rates, volumes or any outlet-level earnings, and its online store locator gave us no outlet list to count. Partner-run delivery centres fell from 905 to 760 in FY26 while company-run centres grew, so ask how secure a partner's area is. Customer ratings are poor on MouthShut (1.28/5). The company is in court against gangs selling fake Delhivery franchises through lookalike sites; it says it never asks for franchise payments by phone. The franchisor is profitable (₹152.5 Cr in FY26), but that says nothing about a counter's or delivery centre's earnings — check real numbers with existing partners.

Why invest in Delhivery?

- Delhivery publishes its counter costs: ₹1.5–3 L set-up, a refundable ₹3–10 L deposit and a ₹50,000 registration fee. - Its FY26 annual report lists 4,848 last-mile centres, 760 of them partner-run, reaching 18,800+ pin codes. - The franchisor is listed and profitable: ₹10,508 Cr revenue and ₹152.5 Cr profit in FY26 (group figures, not partner earnings).
