  Karur commission: Rs 2 lakh for a misplaced courier (Jan 2024)

  The Karur District Commission found deficiency in service when a parcel carrying a jewel-loan receipt (sent to Singapore) was misplaced and DTDC did not resolve the complaint, and ordered Rs 2,00,000 with 9% interest and Rs 10,000 costs. It refused the complainant's larger Rs 1.56 lakh loss claim for lack of proof.
